Traffic delays in Banbury after serious accident

Motorists can expect severe delays in and around Banbury this evening (Wednesday) following an accident on Hennef Way.

Police said a cyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision with a lorry at about 12.45pm, with emergency services attending the scene.

Traffic is currently very slow on Hennef Way in both directions at the Ermont Way junction with congestion to Middleton Cheney and the B4100 Warwick Road junction.

There is also traffic on the A4260 westbound in Adderbury at the B4100 Aynho Road junction and on the A422 westbound in Banbury between the B4525 Welsh Lane.

Disruptions can also be expected on the Warwick Road, Oxford Road, West Bar, Chapel Lane towards Great Bourton and on the M40 motorway from junction ten (Ardley).
