Spooky things took place at Banbury’s GF Club last Saturday, but all for a good cause.
Spookfest has been organised for the last three years by Cherida Plumb, with all proceeds going to Katharine House Hospice after they treated her late mother Dorothy who died in 2013.
The event was a scary success, with 250 people donning costumes and make-up to enjoy a night of live music from Bushfield Smith, Dead Frequency, Mississippi Disco and Uninvited.
Mrs Plumb said: “It was a really good night and everybody really pulled it out the bag. We raised about £2,600 and I’d like to thank all the bands, Bob Dainty, Pink Squirrel, the Spookfest team, Adam and Leigh on sound and Pete Emms.
“It is typical of Banbury to come together for the community. Everybody knows each other now and it has become a great night.”
