Tots learn about the water in their taps
Youngsters at Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery in Upper Tysoe learned all about the water in their taps when they had a visit from Severn Trent Water.
Malcolm Smith and Chelsea Lee-Grimes talked to children about how water is treated to make it clean and safe to drink, and showed them samples of water before and after the cleansing process.
The children also learned how they can save water at home and were asked to encourage their parents to do the same. Shower timers were sent home for lucky mums and dads to use, courtesy of Severn Trent Water.
Nursery manager Allie Aves said: “This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn all about how water reaches our taps and the work that goes on behind the scenes to make sure it is safe and clean for us to drink.
“They thoroughly enjoyed the visit and liked dressing up in the hard hats and hi-vis jackets the most.”
