Two 19-year-olds from Banbury have won scholarships to study at the University of Worcester.
Harry Walters is now studying for a degree in sports studies, after achieving top grades in his BTEC Level 3 qualification, while Chloe Brooks is studying for a degree in sport business management, after achieving 3 A grades at A-level.
Their grades qualified them both for £1,000 first year scholarships at the university. The scholarships are awarded to all those achieving grades ABB at A-level, or equivalent.
Harry, who attended Kineton High School and Henley-in-Arden Sports College, said: “I was really pleased to be accepted in to my first choice of university. I looked at many universities and liked Worcester the most.”
Chloe, who attended The Warriner School and Chenderit sixth form, said: “After working really hard to achieve the grades at A-level, it is a great reward to receive this scholarship.”
