Banbury shoppers in Castle Quay were treated to a performance of festive music from members of the Stagecoach Banbury Theatre Arts group.

The children aged between nine to 14 were outside BHS and sang a selection of Christmas carols icluding ‘Silent Night’, ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ and ‘Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer’.

Melissa Allen, principal, said: “It’s always wonderful to perform for the people of Banbury. Many of our students live in the town so it makes it all the more meaningful to them. Our audience was great and really got into the Christmas groove; swaying and swinging!”

Stagecoach will be performing all around the Banbury area over the festive period and have performed a similar set at Sulgrave Manor’s Christmas Fayre.

For children and young people between the ages of four to 18, Stagecoach is a Performing Arts School offering classes in singing, acting and dancing. For more information contact Melissa Allen on 01908 969467 or 07788 722406 or banbury@stagecoach.co.uk.
