Employees from Mondelēz International in Banbury were busy giving back to the community when they took part in Global Volunteer Month.
Members of the research, development, quality and manufacturing team got together in October to dig deep and transform the gardens for residents of Katharine House Hospice.
Colleagues also showed their support to Home Start Banbury and made cards and crafts for their Christmas bazaar and supported students with the Young Enterprise ‘Sell for Success’ programme, which included creating their own business plan.
Amy Penner, Banbury Community Champion for Mondelēz International, said: “We believe that our employees can play a key role in our local communities and this year, it has been great to see so many colleagues get involved and show their support.
“No matter how small the activity, we are grateful to everyone who took the time to give back during the giving month.
“This campaign has been a huge success and we look forward to continue supporting our local community partners in the future.”
Across the world, 10,000 staff in 70 countries volunteered 35,000 hours.
