The two week egg hunt is being organised by Comic Connections and will run from March 29 to April 12.

A number of superhero-themed eggs will be painted by Comic Connections with the help of the Banbury Rocks project group, and hidden in some of the Parsons Street shop windows.

Egg hunters will have the chance to win a Teen Titans Go graphic novel, but all participants will receive a £1 book token.

Comic Connections manager Sid Beckett said: “We’d like to remind the people of Banbury that quaint old Parsons Street is home to some super independent shops, so an Easter egg hunt involving them is a cracking idea.

“And, everyone, no matter their age loves a superhero, even an egg-shaped one!”

Egg hunters will have to write down which egg-shaped superhero and letter is hiding in the window displays of participating shops to complete a comic-book themed anagram.

Entry forms can be collected from March 29 at Comic Connections and returned in-store by April 12.

Parsons Street stores taking part in the egg-cellent hero egg trail will be displaying a window poster in the build-up to the competition period and include: Comic Connections, DoodleDash Interiors, Florabella, Fancy That, Revival and many more.
