Members of the Lake House, Adderbury community flocked to the residential home on Saturday for the annual summer garden party.
Residents revealed a competitive streak by taking part in quizzes and guessing games while others enjoyed a tombola and raffle draw.
Organisers were grateful for donations of prizes for the various stalls. They included a Wii JD Hero bundle, Playstation, cakes and bottles of wine. Almost all of the stalls sold out by the end of the afternoon.
The event took place in the well-tended gardens and helped Adderbury House to reinforce its relationships with local community groups.
Activities co-ordinator Janice Lydon said: “It really was great having so many people from the community come to Lake House to join in the fun.”
As well as enjoying an afternoon in company the residents and guests enjoyed live music from the bandstand.
Daria Humpris, head of care, said: “It must have been the most fun our residents have had in ages. It is all thanks to the generous support of the local community.”
Home manager Sally Cross said: “Making every experience extra special for our residents is what we love to do and summer time gives us more opportunities to have fun outside.
“Thanks to everyone we raised £466.93.”
