Banbury’s prospective parliamentary candidates for May’s General Election took part in a Question Time-style event at Bicester Community College on Monday night.

The event was organised by sixth form students and invited pupils from others schools in the area to participate. Hosted by headboy MJ Oosthuizen, the panel consisted of Dickie Bird (UKIP), Roseanne Edwards (NHA Party), John Howson (Lib Dem), Ian Middleton (Green), Victoria Prentis (Con) and Sean Woodcock (Labour).

Tim Marston, headteacher, said: “The evening was a great success. Questions were composed by the students and covered topics from tuition fees to the NHS and many more.”
