The Katharine House Coconut Bra is touring the region, in preparation for this year’s Midnight Walk – which has a Hawaiian theme.

The annual 10-mile sponsored Midnight Walk is the hospice’s biggest fundraisers.

And for this year’s walk, on July 4, participants are encouraged to wear Hawaiian costume.

Sweet Celebrations party shop, on Church Lane, are offering a 10 per cent discount to all Midnight Walkers, to help kit you out in your own grass skirt and coconut bra.

Meanwhile, the hospice is sending the Katharine House Coconut Bra on tour around its catchment area.

Since kicking off last week, the tour has already visited one of Ildiko Dorko’s Zumba classes and Sindy Matthew’s Kick Start Fat Loss club.

It will be paying a visit to lots of local clubs and events in the lead up to the Midnight Walk.

And if you see the team out and about, you are invited to get your photo taken wearing the bra and have your picture added to the Coconut Bra Tour Gallery on social media.

The 500th walker to sign up will get to keep the bra and wear it for the walk, if they wish to.

The Midnight Walk sets off from Banbury Cricket Club in Bodicote and follows a circular route round town along well-marshalled and well-lit streets. There is also a six-mile option.

This year, every entrant will be entered into a draw, with a chance to win one of five entry bundles to the Bo Peep Cider Festival in Adderbury.

Entry is open to everyone aged 12 and over. Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

The entry fee of £15 includes a T-shirt, medal and refreshments, and participants are asked to raise a minimum of £25 sponsorship.
