Storm Doris damages Banbury United clubhouse roof
Storm Doris has caused a headache for Banbury United Football Club whose clubhouse roof has been damaged.
The team put out a warning to its staff and visitors to stay away on its website. Roof panels on the clubhouse have been blown off and some have damaged a works van in the clubhouse car park.
A warning from the club said the storm had caused ‘major damage’ adding: “Storm Doris has hit the stadium, as there is a danger of flying debris, we strongly suggest that all volunteers/staff and visitors stay away from the stadium until the storm has died down.”
The club has also cancelled its quiz for tomorrow night.
