Star spotting with Collecto’ return

Usually, if you are seeing stars you’ve had an unfortunate collision with something hard and heavy, or else are watching something on the big screen.

But this weekend there is a third reason – with the return of the Collectormania film and television bonanza.

As usual, organisers have been beavering away to bring you a veritable feast of popular performers, and they’ve done their usual swell job.

And so this Saturday and Sunday, stadium:mk – more used to hosting our championship MK Dons (how sweet it is writing that) – will be brimming with famous faces.

This time around, you’ll be able to meet and greet stars from The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Agents of Shield, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, Star Wars and plenty more.

Chad Coleman – Cutty, to those Walking Dead devotees among you – is showing up, and Game of Thrones actors Brennock O’Connor, Ben Hawkey, Art Parkinson and Eugene Simon will all be signing too.

Everyone remembers Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure 2, right?

William Sadler played Death but we are happy to report he is still alive and kicking, and ready to roll at the event.

And there’s more: Sports fans will be able to dribble their way to meet a full squad of footie faces – Paul Gascoigne, Ian Wright, Stuart Pearce, Geoff Hurst, Gordon Banks, Ossie Ardiles, Ricky Villa, John Barnes, Peter Beardsley, Trevor Brooking and Steve Perryman will all visit this weekend, so they’ll get to see our fab stadium and meet you lot.

Lucky chaps, they are.

Does boxing pack more of a punch for you?

Then go ring side (well, table side) for meet and greets with Joshua Anthony, Frank Bruno and Darren Barker.

Or you could ‘sadle up’ to jockeys from the land of gee-gees – Willie Carson and Richard Dunwoody.

Cricket ace Michael Vaughan, snooker-loopy world champion Peter Ebdon and motorsport whizz Carl Fogerty will be seeing you too.

It’s going to be a big weekend, and a busy one, so remember to leave yourselves plenty of time to get around, make those important memorabilia purchases and meet your most favoured.

Collectormania will be open between 9am and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, and admission and parking is free.

Remember that not all guests will sign both days. For all the latest signing and event information tap across to www.collectormania.com/miltonkeynes/
