South Newington '˜coldest place in the UK' overnight

Banburyshire village South Newington was the coldest place in the UK last night, according to the Met Office.

Temperatures plummeted to -6.3 degrees Celsius in the village on the A361 between Banbury and Chipping Norton overnight.

Fortunately temperatures are set to go up slightly with lows of 2C tonight and highes of 8C tomorrow.
