Brethertons Solicitors has struck gold again after being accreditied with the Investors in People Gold Standard for the fourth year in a row.
The Banbury-based firm in Middleton Road undertook a rigourous assessment process that required evidence of excpetional working practices in a number of areas.
About 800 organisations in the UK are accredited to Gold standard, and of these only 22 operate in the legal services industry. The process is thorough and requires office visits and staff interviews over a number of days.
Deborah Atkins, HR partner at Brethertons, explains what the accredition means to the business. She said: “We are delighted with his achievement. It’s well known we really understand that its our staff that are critical to the firm’s continued success and this is now recognised by Investors in People with a Gold accreditation.
“Our internal culture values personal development, ambition and each other, so we’re delighted this accreditation recognises and symbolises our core principles.”
More than 50 members of staff from teams across the Brethertons organisation were interviewed, and it was the strong culture and sense of pride and ownership that staff possess that was identified as a particular strength
Paul Devoy, head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Brethertons on their Gold standard. Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice, and demonstrates a commitment to staff development and shows an organiation committed to being the very best it can be.”
