Six people charged over Banbury Co-op burglaries

Six people have appeared in court in connection with a series of shop burglaries, including two in Banbury.

Lincolnshire Police have charged the five men and one woman with conspiracy to commit burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.

The charges relate to a number of burglaries, including the Co-op in Burchester Place and the Co-op, Chatsworth Drive, Banbury, which both took place on March 27 this year.

Iacomi Elena Cerasela, aged 26, of South Road, Soho, Birmingham, Florin Virgil Gradinaru, aged 32, of Nineveh Road, Birmingham, Petre Dumitru Ilie, aged 41, no address listed, Marian Ionel Raduica, aged 35, Nineveh Road, Birmingham, Viorel Romanescu, aged 35, South Road, Soho, Birmingham, and Laurentiu Leontin Smeu, aged 26, no address listed, all appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court last Thursday (April 28).

They were remanded into custody and are due to appear before Lincoln Crown Court on 26 May.
