Sir Edward Heath: Thames Valley Police investigate allegations of historical child sex abuse

Historic sex abuse claims against former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath are being investigated by Thames Valley Police.

The force, along with the Metropolitan Police, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Kent, Jersey and Gloucestershire Police are all conducting inquiries into allegations surrounding Mr Heath who died in 2005.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “Following recent media coverage in relation to historic allegations made against former Prime Minister Edward Heath, Thames Valley Police has since received information which we are investigating further.

“We are at the very early stage of our enquiries and will not be commenting further at this stage.”
