A Morrisons worker spent time at London's Victorial Station to encourage people to carry out acts of kindness.

Emma Boisselle, who is Morrisons Community Champion, volunteered to support the charity Sue Ryder, at their Connecting Thread event in London Victoria station last month.

The charity was raising awareness to show that, through simple acts of kindness, you can help someone get through a difficult experience – whether a minor inconvenience such as a train delay or the life-changing loss of a loved one.

Volunteers spoke to hundreds of commuters and holidaymakers who shared messages of support, which they tied to a 10ft ball of wool.

Money raised through the Morrisons Raise a Smile partnership is funding Sue Ryder’s Online Community and Support, where people can share experiences or worries and hear from others who are coping with the loss of a loved one or a life-changing illness. See www.sueryder.org/support
