Schoolgirl takes the cake

Tudor Hall pupil Skye Brooke won The Boarding Schools’ Association’s ‘Boarding Bake Off’, with a raspberry and lime chequerboard sponge filled and frosted with Italian meringue buttercream and decorated with lime macaroons.

Skye, aged 14, won a hamper full of cooking equipment and a private lesson with a pastry chef.

Her prize was presented by celebrity chef James Tanner.
