Banbury residents have helped Santa and his Round Table elves achieve a record-breaking year of sleigh collections in the town.
Banbury Cross Round Table raised more than £13,000 during the sleigh runs held in Banbury, which will be used over the coming 12 months for the benefit of charities and good causes in the area.
Simon Jupe, chairman, said: “Year in and year out, we take out the sleigh in all sorts of weathers and are greeted by thousands of children. Their faces are priceless and make the events worthwhile.
“This year we have been amazed and humbled by the generosity of the people of Banbury. The donations we’ve had this year will help us make a huge difference in the community.”
The group was helped by Bruce Hopkins Ltd who donated the use of a vehicle during the 20-night sleigh run in the build-up to Christmas.
The Round Table is an international club open to men aged 18-45.
