RSPCA launch appeal after puppies found drowned

The discovery was made by a member of the public who spotted the dead dogs on Wednesday, February 6.

RSPCA inspector Andy Eddy, who is leading the investigation for the animal welfare charity, said: “This was an extremely distressing discovery. These poor puppies were found in a ditch near Swerford and taken to a vets in Oxfordshire, who believe they may have been drowned before their bodies were dumped.

“This is an appalling incident which will no doubt shock and sicken people living in the area. The puppies were all border collies and are thought to be around eight to ten weeks old.
