Rotary charities receive nearly £900 as visitors enjoy Northamptonshire wine festival

A wine festival in Northamptonshire attracted hundreds of visitors and raised nearly £900 for Rotary charities.

The seventh Brackley Wine Festival was held at Brackley Town Hall on Saturday. The event was sponsored by Direct Legal & Collections of Brackley.

Organised by Brackley Rotary Club, nine merchants attended the festival including members of the Association of Small Direct Wine Merchants and local independent suppliers.

The event organiser, Rotarian Trevor Davies, said: “It was pleasing that both merchants and visitors were prepared to travel great distances to be with us. The festival provided another tasting opportunity for wine lovers to discover and buy new wines without the risk of the wine not being to their palate.”
