A King’s Sutton resident has been working with children to help educate them keep about keeping safe when walking to school in the morning.

Maureen Hamner launched her Glow worm project several years ago, which helps children understand the different colours of the traffic lights. She is now working with pupils at King’s Sutton Primary School and hopes to inspire other schools to work together and help keep children safe in the morning and when walking home.

She said: “This is a project which grew from a simple idea which helps the children understand the importance of road safety. I also hope it will inspire other schools to share new ideas and interests.”
