More than 20 volunteers and members of Banbury Community Action Group )CAG) turned out in bright but blustery conditions on Sunday for the second phase of planting at the Browning Road community orchard. Residents planted 45 apple and pear trees, which will one day provide habitats for wildlife and fruit for anyone using the park.
Another 150 trees were planted there in January. The orchard, which is sponsored by Banbury Town Council, is part of the wider CAG Oxfordshire project Incredible Edible which seeks to grow and promote real food. Find @Banbury CAG on Twitter and Facebook.
