Pupils hear how Banbury Guardian works

Pupils at St John's RC Primary School learnt all about the inner workings of a newspaper when Banbury Guardian reporter Roseanne Edwards visited.

Roseanne gave a speech to the assembly before answering questions.

Teacher Victoria Jackson organised the event to allow 200 children from Year 1 to Year 6 to learn about the work of a journalist.

Pupils were also told how one of the most important issues in the community has lead the paper to campaign for protection of the Horton General Hospital and to Ms Edwards standing as a candidate in past general elections.

Ms Jackson said: “It was so interesting and the children loved it.”
