POUNDLAND SEXUAL ASSAULT UPDATE: Man, 31, arrested by police

A 31-year-old man from Banbury has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident in Poundland's store in Malthouse Walk.

The man presented himself to Banbury Police Station and was arrested on Monday.

It is in connection with an incident on Tuesday, February 9 when a woman in her twenties was sexually assaulted at about 4.45pm.

Investigating officer, PC Neil Budd from Banbury police station said “We are still appealing to anyone in the store at this time. There were a few people seen on CCTV at the time of the offence who may have information about the incident.

“We would ask anyone in the store at the time who saw anything suspicious to contact us.”
