It’s back! For the last three years Tadmarton Heath Golf Club and the Banbury Guardian have held an 18-hole Pairs Golf Competition in support of a local charity.

The William Potts Pairs Championship (named after the first editor of this paper) will this year be played on Friday, October 9, in support of Juniper Ward at the Horton General Hospital.

The money raised will be used for a specific piece of equipment that is used for the benefit of all patients on this ward.

This year’s competition will be over 18 holes, with prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd , nearest the pin and nearest the pin in 2.

To enter, contact Tadmarton Heath Golf Club 01608 737278 or download an entry form at www.tadmartongolf.com and go to ‘open
competitions’. Entries close at noon on Friday, October 2.

Golf club general manager David Newman said: “After a little research, we find that one piece of equipment would make life a bit easier for the staff and give great benefit in patient care on Juniper Ward.

“To this end the Banbury Guardian and Tadmarton Heath Golf Club have again joined forces to raise a modest amount of money for a
fluid analyser for this ward.”

If you could offer an
auction prize to the event, contact David on 01608 737278 or e-mail secretary@
