General Election 2019: Victoria Prentis in jubilant mood as Conservative landslide imminent

The results to declare the parliamentary candidate for the Banbury constituency are not yet in, but Conservative candidate and incumbent, Victoria Prentis, is all smiles.

"The campaign went well but this is extraordinary, another world isn't it," said Victoria watching the national results come in.

Banbury will declare very soon, but it seems less than unlikely that her 13,000 vote majority from 2017 will be overhauled.

Victoria added: "It's going to look very different (parliament). We've lost some good colleagues but we have gained far more. Extraordinary, new colleagues is great. I don't know them yet, a lot of these women often, but they look really good."
