With the need for climate action, Healthy Place Shaping and addressing air quality at the heart of our thinking, the new Local Transport and Connectivity Plan (LTCP) will set out a transport vision for Oxfordshire that will contribute to developing a zero-carbon economy for the county and transform the health and well-being of residents.

This opportunity is more than just a survey. It will allow you to play a core part of making a real difference to how transport will be developed for a generation. The feedback gained will be used to help the council to produce a first draft of the future plan of action.

This includes innovative ways of reducing traffic, providing new active and healthy travel infrastructure (including opening of new green spaces for leisure and travel), and much more. A series of topic papers featured in the survey will allow you to share your views.

The topics cover a wide variety of areas including public transport, air quality, cycling networks, and our digital strategy.

This new plan will also address connectivity as a key factor enabling sustainable growth with an emphasis on the role digital connectivity can play in helping address the needs of a dynamic local economy based on technology combined with opportunities to work smarter.

The plan will set out a series of priority measures to 2050, and the county council is now undertaking wider engagement on how this should be further developed.

The LTCP survey runs from March 4 to April 14 and can be accessed at: https://consultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk/consult.ti/ltcp.engagement/consultationHomeCllr Yvonne Constance, cabinet member for environment said: “The future of our transport matters not just because we need to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality. The options we propose in LTCP are aimed at fundamentally improving the quality of our lives.

"Oxfordshire is a great success story but its ongoing performance must address how we travel in a way that can reduce congestion, improve our health and help develop active, connected communities. We need and will value your input about how we can best do this, working together, so please take the survey and offer your views.”
