Police want to speak to women in after purse stolen in Banbury

A CCTV image of two women has been released by police after a customer had her purse stolen from W H Smiths in Banbury.

Between about 1.30pm and 2pm on Thursday, January 21 the victim was shopping in the store when two offenders stole her purse from inside her handbag.

Investigating officer, PC Paul Devlin from Banbury Police Station, said: “We are keen to talk to the two women in the CCTV images as we believe they may have information which could help us with this investigation.

“We are also appealing to anyone who may remember having seen any suspicious behaviour while shopping in the centre that day to please get in contact via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.”
