Police charge pair after assault in Banbury
Two men have been charged by police in connection with a robbery in People's Park.
Chris Taylor, 27, of Cotswold Crescent in Chipping Norton and Ryan McCarthy, 25, of Balmoral Avenue, Banbury, were both charged on February 9 with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of assault with intent to commit robbery.
The charges are in connection with an incident on July 11 2014 when a 43-year-old man was assaulted.
They were both bailed and are due to appear at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on 10 March
McCarthy was arrested on 23 September 2014 and Taylor was arrested on 7 October 2014.
