Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following seven burglaries in Banbury which are being linked.

Between approximately 12pm and 7pm on Monday, December 28 offenders entered seven properties on Bloxham Road, Broughton Road and the Fairway.

Each targeted property was in complete darkness, offenders smashed rear windows, drew the curtains once inside and searched the house. Jewellery was stolen from all properties.

Sgt Jade Hewitt, of Local CID Banbury, said: “I would like to reassure all residents that a thorough investigation is underway in relation to these incidents in order to try and convict those responsible.

“It is also reminded to residents to use timer lights, security lights and invest in extra security to protect your house, also consider photographing and documenting what valuables you have.

“We urge anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible. Any piece of information, despite how trivial it may appear, could assist our investigation.”

Sgt Hewitt can be contacted via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
