In Pictures: West Bar Surgery become a Park Run Practice
On Saturday, September 15 staff, doctors and patient representatives from West Bar Surgery on Banbury's South Bar took part in the 5km Park Run in Spiceball Park.
In total 15 members of the doctors practice entered the free event as an official Park Run Practice to promote the mental and physical health benefits from running.Dr Gwyneth Rogers, whose own progress from couch potato to 5km runner was shared on the surgery’s Facebook page, said: “It was really uplifting and although several of us were quite tired at the end, everyone had an excellent time, got a real buzz and wanted to do it again. We even managed to stop and help someone who was taken ill during the event.”
Members of the surgery will be at the once weekly free run every Saturday morning from 9am, as and when their busy schedules allow.
