“We were very lucky with the weather.

“We had a few new entries, and some returning as well. Thee were the usual faces that have been around for the past two or three years, but last year we had 27 cars, the year before 33 – this year we had 43 which shows the popularity of the event.

“As well as the races, Mercedes had one of their grand prix cars on display which drew a crowd. They also raffled off a tour for four people around their Brackley factory which was fantastic.

“The event raises money for charity, and this year the majority will be going to the Katherine House Hospice.

“The Army Reserves from Banbury were also here with a big Army vehicle for the children to climb inside.

“The whole event always relies on helpers. Normally the local Army Cadets help out, but this year they were away on camp so we had to rely on the other volunteers even more, and the Army Reserves helped out as well.”
