Jazz sensation Jamie Cullum will be among the headline acts for next year’s Cornbury Music Festival.
The 13th Cornbury Music Festival, called The Baker’s Dozen, takes place between July 8 and 10, at Great Tew Park, near Chipping Norton.
Soulful piano virtuoso Jamie Cullum, 80s acid jazz pioneers Soul II Soul, R&B singer Lemar and rock ‘n’ roll survivor Wilko Johnson will make the line-up on the Friday.
This is the first year Cornbury features a full day Friday line-up, with the arena opening at 9am and artists performing from 11am.
In another new move, organisers are offering up to 30 per cent earlybird discounts on day tickets for the Friday from today, Thursday, for 13 days only.
Also joining the festival line-up are ska veterans The Beat along with newcomers Port Isla and The Lottery Winners.
Promoter Hugh Phillimore said: “Spookily we’ve got our best three day festival line-up for our 13th year and it’s a huge relief to be able to get at least one day off my chest!”
More names will be announced in the New Year.
Friday earlybird tickets cost £50 for an adult, £5 for a child. They can be ordered online at cornburymusicfestival.com and vouchers are available to be downloaded for Christmas.
All tickets are subject to booking fees.
All children aged two and under, and disabled carers can get in for free.
To mark its 13th year, the festival has also launched a friends’ scheme.
People who pay £100 to be a festival friend will get a 30 per cent discount on up to eight full-price weekend tickets which are available until the end of January via the telephone booking service on 0844 338 0000.
