Two new Banbury Town Council events announced

This year Banbury will see two very different first time town centre events that are sure to bring in the crowds.

The first inaugural event is the music themed 'Motown Magic' and will take place in the Market Square on Friday, September 4, between 7pm and 10pm.

Billed as a 'night of fantastic music to include 70s, soul and Motown hits to dance the night away."

The second new event celebrates transportation of all kinds. 'A Day of Transport' takes place on Sunday, October 4, between 10.30am and 3.30pm in the town centre and Tooleys Boatyard.

The event will 'Celebrate the joys of transport in all formats. working in partnership with Tooleys who will bring the joys of watercraft to the event.'

In total Banbury Town Council have 16 events planned featuring perennial favourites such as Armed Forces Day (Saturday, June 27), Banbury and District Show (June 14) and the Christmas Lights Festival (November 29).

There is also a return of some more modern additions to the events calendar including the live music Market Square concert - Banbury Music Mix - on July 24.
