Two crews tackle fire at property in village near Brackley

Two crews responded to a fire at a residential property in a South Northamptonshire village.

A crew from the Brackley Fire Station responded to a report of a domestic property involved in fire in the village of Croughton near Brackley.

Fire crews attended the an address in Blenheim, Croughton around 3.25pm on Wednesday December 16.

The fire is believed to be accidental after the homeowner had placed hot ash in a bin.

As a result of the fire, three wheelie bins were destroyed and a nearby fence was slightly damaged.

Firefighters used a hose reel, thermal image camera, triple extension ladder to put out the fire.

A crew from the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service also responded in assistance to the fire.
