Cllr Banfield said: "As the elected county councillor I have lobbied and liaised with the highways department for a couple of years to get this funding allocation, as I received complaints from residents in respect of the condition of the road surfaces within these locations.

"Furthermore, on the 30th of December 2020, the pavement location from Dukes Street to Merton Street within Middleton Road had full resurfacing works completed and two drop kerbs were implemented.

"These pavement resurfacing works were implemented to improve the safety of pedestrians in this location as a number of my constituents had experienced trips and falls. The scheduling and funding for these pavement resurfacing works took a year of my lobbying and liaising with officers within the highways department at Oxfordshire County Council."
