Upcoming events were discussed by town officials at this week’s Brackley Town Council Finance & Policy Committee Meeting.

With the announcement of further restrictions relating to the current coronavirus pandemic councillors made the difficult decision to cancel the following events for 2020: community fireworks, the remembrance parade and service, the armistice commemorations, the Christmas light switch-on and community carols.

Brackley town mayor, Cllr Chris Cartmell said: “Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many events within our communities to be cancelled or postponed this year, which is very disappointing. We look forward to better times ahead for everyone.”
