An appeal went out for help in the search for the moggy after her distraught owner reported her missing in the Banbury Guardian's villages column.

The family had moved to Milcombe recently from the Cherwell Heights area of Banbury and it is thought the cat could have become disorientated in her new location.

However neighbours spotted the cat on their CCTV and the pet was recovered.

Milcome's village correspondent for the Banbury Guardian, Hazel Davies, said: "She's back at home after being fetched from the people who saw her last evening.

"They will be keeping her in for a while until she gets used to it. She does send her thanks to everyone who looked out for her."
