Teenage boy left seriously injured after road traffic collision in Banbury

Thames Valley Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to a road traffic collision yesterday (Saturday June 5) which left a boy with serious injuries in Banbury.

The incident happened after a grey Citroen C3 and a cyclist were involved in a collision on Broughton Road, just prior to the junction with Banbury Road.

The collision occurred around 6.40pm yesterday Saturday June 5.

The cyclist, a teenage boy, suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital where he remains.

No arrests have been made.

Investigating officer, PC Alex Norrish, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said; “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

“I would also ask any motorists with dash-cams who were in the local area around 6.40pm yesterday to please check any footage in case it has captured something that could assist the investigation.
