As the country enters a third national lockdown, government advice is once again to stay at home except for a handful of permitted reasons.

Last year, Stagecoach Oxfordshire made a number of enhancements to services as people returned to work and education following the national lockdowns, ensuring there was enough capacity where it was needed whilst onboard capacity was reduced to allow for social distancing.

As of Wednesday January 6 the company confirms it is currently still running to the timetables in place prior to the latest announcement to support key workers, ensuring those needing to get to work can, and helping communities make their essential journeys safely.

However, the public is advised to stay at home and not leave the area, except for a limited number of permitted reasons including work and caring purposes. Stagecoach Oxfordshire is therefore urging everybody to follow the latest government rules on staying at home and avoiding non-essential travel if possible.

Stagecoach asks passengers to make sure you wear a face covering when travelling (unless you have an exemption) and wash your hands before and after your journey. Please keep your distance from others both at the bus stop and when on the bus and if you can, use the contactless payment facility or buy your ticket on the Stagecoach Bus App. The company continues its enhanced cleaning practices and maintains the reduced capacity on board its vehicles.

To make sure you have the most up to date information for your essential local Stagecoach journey, see the current timetables at www.stagecoachbus.com and you can also check for updates on twitter @Stagecoach_Ox.
