Cherwell Cats Protection broke the news this week of how they were recently called out to a building site in Banbury, as a cat was seen wandering around.

They managed to catch him and took him to the vet where he was found to be chipped.

Taking up the story, they said: “His owners were contacted and they were over the moon as Sam had been missing for six years. He escaped soon after they moved house.

"They showered him and he loves being clean, fed and loved again. He is loving having his real life back and it’s as though he has never been away.”

The happy ending serves as reminder from Cherwell Cats Protection to all owners – ‘microchip your cats and keep your address up to date!’.
