The road will be closed between Lime Farm and Chapel Lane with no access or egress through this section. There will be no through traffic on the A422.

Traffic will be diverted from Brackley using the A43 and the B4525 at Middleton Cheney.

The road closure is happening in order for workers to install an overflow pipe from a road gully and connect it into a gully near Lime Farm.

A spokesperson for the Northants Highways Team said: "Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the work, and vehicle access to your property may be restricted. We aim to maintain access and egress to properties within the closure but there may be some prolonged delays. Please allow extra time for your journey.

If you require access within a section of the road closure, you must keep your speed to a minimum for the safety of you and the workforce. Please speak with one of our team at each end of the road closure if you wish to discuss access/egress."
