Police looking for witnesses in fatal collision in Bicester

Thames Valley Police is looking for witnesses to a fatal collision in Bicester.

The collision happened on the A41 at the Bicester Park and Ride roundabout on Thursday July 16 at around 10.10pm.

A red Mercedes was travelling northbound, towards Bicester, when it was in collision with the roundabout.

Sadly, the driver, a man in his 60s died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and his family are being supported by specially trained officers.

The passenger of the vehicle, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and is currently in a critical condition in hospital.

Investigating officer PC Sandra Terry of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Bicester Howes Lane, said: “Firstly, our thoughts go out to the family of the man who has sadly died and the man who was injured in this incident.

“This was a single vehicle collision and we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this incident happen.
