Police investigating cottage fire in Bodicote near Banbury

Thames Valley Police are investigating the circumstances around a cottage fire in Bodicote, Banbury last night, Thursday July 30.

The Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire at the Lock Keeper's cottage in Bodicote around 7.45pm.

Firefighters from four crews responded to the fire, which included Banbury, Hook Norton, Bicester and Brackley fire stations.

An Oxfordfordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the investigation into the fire is ongoing, and involves Thames Valley Police.

TVP confirmed they were called at around 8.55pm yesterday (Thursday July 30) to reports of a building fire in Twyford Road, Banbury.

Officers attended alongside the fire service.

An investigation into the circumstances of the fire is currently ongoing.

It is not believed that anyone was injured.
