'People need to know my cat is not dead' - Odd behaviour by Banbury cat leads to distribution of flyers warning neighbours
The odd behaviour has led to Lolly's owner, Les Southam, getting regular phone calls from the local vets and neighbours telling her he's been found dead in the road.
Les said: "He is rather famous in Banbury as he love’s socialising at Westbar House and pharmacy. Sadly he likes to play dead, and the local vets get lots of calls daily about him being dead. He is old, lazy and ignorant and will literally not move if laying in middle of the road."

The odd behaviour led Les to distribute flyers around her neighbourhood today, Thursday July 2, warning the public about her cat's behaviour.
She said: "It's trying to reach people so they are aware that he's fine, and he's not dead. I don't want people being distressed about it. If I can put people at ease and show that he is actually fine then that's what I hope to do."
The flyer reads: 'My name is Lolly and I live on Beergarden Road.
'My favourite thing is people, and pretending I am dead at the side of the road. I am also quite old and ignorant.

'Please don't worry about me. All the local businesses and vets know my owners. If you're really worried call my mum 07920003682.'
Lolly is a popular and well known cat in the community, and not just for 'playing dead.'
Les added: "He's literally famous at this end of town. Everybody knows Lolly.
"Local school children on the way to school sing him songs and give him cuddles. He is famous at the Horton too, as he is known to catch a lift in pharmaceuticals vehicles if they are not watching, and spent two days in the offices of the Finnes Centre being treated like a king."

Lolly's owners aren't exactly sure why he 'plays dead' so often in the middle of the road.
Les added:"He just loves attention, and people."
