New members and guest speakers at Banbury Rotary Club

The Rotary's Friday lunch time meeting last Friday was a busy one as they welcomed a guest speaker and new member to the fold.

Sam Game, clinical director of the charity Standing in the Gap was the guest speaker who talked about the charity's work.

Sam who has worked in the NHS for 25 years and has had experience as health visitor, founded the charity because she found no provision fchildren up to 11 years old dealing with mental health issues.

Currently there is a long waiting time for younger children to receive mental health assessments .Sam spoke of her recently started monthly anxiety workshops and work with primary and secondary schools.

New member Jill Holroyd was also inducted as a Rotarian.
