"During her time on the council Mrs Jerrams Coughtrey has served as a councillor, chair and vice chair. She has been instrumental in the delivery of services and success of the council and has given extensive and eminent service to Middleton Cheney and its local community.

"Her knowledge of Middleton Cheney is second to none and this knowledge and experience is a constant support to the Parish Council's discussions.

"In recognition of Sue’s personal contribution to the promotion, achievement and delivery of community services, the Parish Council is awarding Sue the highest honour a Parish Council can give to any member of the Community and that is 'Honorary Freewoman' of the Parish recognising the exceptional service she has rendered to the community. Needless to say, Sue has been a credit to the village."
