Latest Covid-19 figures for Oxfordshire show overall decrease in cases over seven-day period

In the seven days up to last Friday (October 16) there has been a total of 580 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Oxfordshire.

This was a decrease from 630 new cases in the previous week.

This is equivalent to a weekly rate of new cases of about 84 per 100,000 residents.

In the Cherwell area there was a decrease of new cases with 116 people testing positive.

Oxford also had a decrease in cases with 184 in the seven days up to October 16.

South Oxfordshire, Vale of White Horse and West Oxfordshire all had an increase in new cases with 111, 92 and 77 respectively.
