Katharine House charity shops across the Banbury area have reopened

Katharine House Hospice's charity shops across the Banburyshire area have reopened for the first time since lockdown.

The shops - raising vital funds to keep the north Oxfordshire hospice running - are in Banbury, Bicester, Brackley, Chipping Norton, Shipston-on-Stour and Moreton-in-Marsh.

The reopening has been organised so that government guidelines for coronavirus are observed to keep staff, volunteers and customers safe.

Changing rooms will not be in use so clothing cannot be tried on before purchase. Buyers will be offered an exchange or credit note for any items that need to be returned. Refunds will be given only for items bought using card payments, with receipts and Katharine House shop labels attached.

"It's great news that all our shops are now open once more," said Scott Bloomfield, head of retail at Katharine House.

"We have taken all precautions to ensure the shops are safe for staff, volunteers and customers, and that all the COVID-19 safety measures are met in line with government guidelines.

"If people wish to donate items, please check our donations page for opening days and times at the different shops. We are now restricting these hours to ensure we can suitably quarantine people's kind donations before selling them."
